One in every 50 human being is a migrant worker, a refugee or asylum seeker, or an immigrant living in a foreign country. It is estimated that more than 150 million people live temporarily or permanently outside their countries or place of origin which is 2.5% of the world’s population, according to United Nations and the International Organization for Migration. Majority of these, about 90 million, are estimated to be migrant workers and members of their families.
Migrants are many but we are invisible.
There is a common notion that the migrants on the whole are doing well. The truth however, is that migrants and refugees like me are just being quiet about our problems because of fear of discrimination, or lack of knowledge. Migrants are known for their willingness to share all their joys but prefer to keep all their pains inside. Like all the other migrants, all I want to do at first is to make a living for my loved ones and to quietly persevere amidst overwhelming obstacles.
But today I have decided to ask for help, from someone who like me is a migrant, for he is not of this world. He came and overcome the world. He was said to be born today many years ago and his name is Jesus for he shall saved his people.
Today I'll contemplate on how He has lived his life as a migrant... and learn from it.
And through this blog help other migrants.
And through this blog help other migrants.
I'm in the verge of giving up with this blogging thing, I'm really confused with how it works. But hang on Epoh, this is nothing to the difficulties others encountered.
